- Andrea Oliver named 2019 Outstanding Graduating Student for Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine A "horse girl" growing up, Oliver is a doctor of veterinary medicine candidate and this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Graduating Student Award from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She earned a B.S. in animal and poultry science in 2015 from Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
- Equine Medical Center dedicates renovated Youngkin Equine Soundness Clinic The state-of-the-art sports medicine facility, made possible by a generous gift from Suzanne and Glenn Youngkin of Washington, D.C., expands the center’s capacity to provide cutting-edge diagnostics and treatment for lameness and other conditions that prevent equine athletes from performing at optimal health.
- Veterinary college's Jennifer Barrett honored with 2017 Zoetis Award for Research Excellence Established in 1985 as the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence, the Zoetis award seeks to “foster innovative research, on which the scientific advancement of the profession depends, by recognizing outstanding research effort and productivity.”
